HELP FOR A WIDOW

This is Ms. Kanad. Ms. Kanad originally comes from the Province of Paktja (Afghanistan). Because of the war, Ms. Kanad and her family had to flee from Paktja to Kabul (capital of Afghanistan). Ms. Kanad’s two sons fell victims to the war, and her husband died after a few years.

Today Mrs. Kanad lives in Kabul with the widow and three orphans of her son. Until recently, Ms. Kanad was a single earner and worked for 3000 Afghanis (approx. € 34) per month in a school as a cleaning lady. However, due to the Corona virus (Covid-19), she lost her job and is now unemployed.

In addition to the dangers of the corona virus, Ms. Kanad and her family are now exposed to other tremendous problems such as hunger and homelessness.

Ms. Kanad’s story was broadcasted on April 26, 2020 in a report by Shamshad TV. This way we (SAMC) were also able to learn of Ms. Kanad’s situation. We decided to help Ms. Kanad in her difficult situation.
We were able to help Ms. Kanad’s family with a donation of 10,000 Afghani (approx. € 115) in the form of viands.
