COMMON ROOM
In 2015, some elders of a village reached out to us for help. They asked us for financial support for the construction of a common room.
The village had decided to build a common room, which should serve as a meeting place.
The roof and some other parts of the building could not be completed due to lack of funds. We therefore decided to cover the costs for the unfinished construction works and thus to support the project.
Today, the common room is also used as a school for children. The children come here from the surrounding villages to learn to read and write. However, the school is not funded by the state. The villagers come up for all the costs themselves.
